Are Loaners the norm for BMW dealerships???

Hey guys,

My 135 is in the shop right now and I was wondering if it is more common then not for the dealership to give you a loaner when the car is in for warranty work?

The dealership offered me their shuttle service which is great but I need a car for my work. I travel to multiple sites for repairs (IT guy).

So, does your dealership offer loaners?

Usual they only offer loans if you bought the car from that dealership. Also sometimes depends on the amount of work you are getting done.

^^ + 1. Pre-purchase my dealer was very specific that I would get a loaner only if I bought there--also that they'd pick up my car and drop the loaner off at my work and vice versa when done. Otherwise no joy.

If the repair took more than 1 day to do, most dealers would give you a loaner.

bmw of bridgeport ct gives you a loaner as long as you ask for one when you make the appointment.

Yeah, some dealers have a limited amount of loaners, so you may need to schedule ahead and request one at the time to get one.

I have even gotten a rental car when I have added accessories to my car from another dealership other then the one I have purchased my car from.
