DIY BOV install?

Scratch what I said, has anyone ever unplugged the map sensor?????

OMG I've tried for 2 hours, my hands are numb. Is there a special way to unhook the stupid clip?????

I know what you mean that was the hardest part.

I just slid a small flathead up the clip from the bottom to push out the clip and pull down. Goodluck.

I used a credit card but it is a bit tricky. Sometimes it takes me 20 minutes and other times I get it first go!

It was driving me crazy cause I couldnt see where the clip was. That damn thing was practically flush with the MAP sensor. It was a PITA but it shouldnt be a problem anymore now that I know how it works.

Yes they've designed it in such a way where it's not very accessible. I've come to realise that BMW have gone out of their way to make every aspect of maintenance or modification a challenge!

(old thread I know but just in case anyone else using the search comes across this I thought this link may help)

Scroll down to the 3rd page of Burger Motorsport's DIY for the JB+ install: http://burgertuning.com/instructions/jbplus.pdf

That should help you out. All you have to use is a USB plug and it takes literally seconds to remove the MAP sensor.
