Mystery Nut on my garage floor

I was walking out of my garage this evening and saw the nut in the picture I have attached on the floor of my garage behind my 1. I looked underneath my car as best I could and couldn't identify any possible places that it could have come from.

Has anyone ever seen a nut like this on their 1 anywhere? The lock washer is attached to the nut. It appears to be an M6.

Take it into the dealer and ask them about it. Make sure it appears on your service record so that if anything falls off later, you can prove that you reported it to them. Ask them to tighten and inspect all suspension and body nuts.
