DD: Rare Porsche 911 Turbo Write up/Guide

I had the pleasure on working on another 993 Turbo, this time it was a super rare color I believe the owner from Rennlist said 2xx of these were sold in the world or was it North America, I'll have to check on that again..

The color: Amaranith Violet

Not for everyone but ultra rare!

Paint was corrected and of course the last step was Swissvax Crystal Rock.

Below are the tools and products used:

Adam's Car Wash
Swissvax Paint Rubber (Yellow) and Optimum Instant Detail Spray and Gloss Enhancer for clay lube
Menzerna SIP
Menzerna PO85RD -
Menzerna Top Inspection
Swissvax Cleaner Fluid
Swissvax Crystal Rock

Wheels and Tires

Swissvax Pneu
P21S Wheel Cleaner Gel
Boar’s Hair Wheel Brush
Foam applicator pads
Swissvax Quick Finish

Glass inside and out:
Lusso Glass Polish
Uber Glass MF Towels

Black Wow on the bottom trim and the inside of the side vents

Tools:
Infratech 5300
Makita 9227 Hi Speed Rotary
Lake Country CCS Pads 5.5 inch
Lake Country Wool Pads
Tons of "Uber" Microfiber Towels
Uber Drying Towels

Cam Spray 1500A with Cam Spray Foam Gun

Before shots:

Before wheels:

Before shot of the wheel well:

Pre soaking wheels with P21S Wheel Cleaner and P21S TAW on the tires and wheel wells

Ace Powerstick in action

Before shot of the bumperettes

Cleaning them up with P21S TAW and a Swissvax Wheel Brush before we apply Black Wow

Cleaning up trim pieces from wax build up

The wash with the Cam Spray Pressure Washer and Foam Canon

Claying with the old Swissvax Paint Rubber

50/50 shots of the paint correction after Menzerna SIP and Menzerna PO85RD

Wheels all done up tires dressed with Swissvax Pneu and wheel well dressed with Adam's Undercarriage Spray

Bumperettes dressed with Black Wow

Some shots inside the garage:

Final shots outside:

I hope you enjoyed this one.

WOW,...Phil,..I Love your write ups! Before and after pics are amazing.
What product would you recommend for removing very fine white overspary specs on the front of my black sapphire metallic BMW?
Car is brand new, and I was forced to drive by a road crew spraying white lines. When I got home,..I noticed some very fine white specs on the front of the bumper & the mirrors, I thought a mild polish like Menzerna intensive would work,...but it did not. Whatever the paint was they used seems to be pretty stubborn.
It is very light and hard to see unless you get right up on it though.
Any recommendations? (I do own a porter cable R.O.P.)

Nice work as always! I can take the purple paint on its own...kind of unique. But adding those wheels with the purple lips??? Not my cup of tea. Please tell me it is some chick's car!

I believe that IP is fine what pads are you using?

for the overspray you're going to need to clay it then polish then protect.

thanks guys for the feedback, the color is love it or hate it.

I just tried a small spot by hand w/ a microfiber pad which didnt touch the overspray,...I have white, green, and blue pads for the 7424. Sounds like I need to start w/ IP and a white pad?, the go finer w/ green then blue?

So, Phil, do you get rubber gloves that match the car you're detailing each time?
