Which Upper Strut Brace ?

So I'm torn between the BMW Carbon Fiber Strut brace and the Aluminum one that I just noticed under acessories on the BMWUSA website. The Aluminum one is $300.00 and the Carbon Fiber one retails for $995.00 but I can get it for $500.00. Any thoughts ??

I would imagine the CF is lighter.

They're both the same. One's just prettier than the other
I have the aluminum brace on my 128 and the steering is a slight bit tighter. The alum is super light though. I'm sure it's not much heavier than the carbon fiber.

Yea so I just returned from my dealer where they regretfully informed me that neither of the Damn BMW strut bars will fit the 135i. They said the CF one will work once BMW decides to release a CAI kit for the car. Hey BMW WTF is going on ??

I would wait until a vendor decides to make a strut bar in steel or cromoly. Aluminum and/or CF, unless very well designed, will not be stiff enough to have an appreciable effect on body stiffness. Nate
