Yup it happened...Got my first Ticket

Well it happened, I haven't had the car a week and I got my first ticket 90 in a 55. I was on a back country road and came up over a hill and bam there he was. I did get a kick out of it though, he came up to my window and was like do you have any idea of how fast you were going...I really didn't, so I told him "I'm not sure I know the speed limit buzzer went off at 80." haha, as he handed my my ticket he said I had the fastest of the day...So I'm not sure if he wanted me to feel accomplished or ashamed? I think it's time for the V1 to be installed.

Here in Ontario Canada... they take your car away when you go over 50 km the limit. It's a new law, just put in I think this summer... street racing was a real problem.

They also have huge fines, in the thousands too...

I have had 3 very close calls... and I have slowed way down.

The last one I had a car full of people. Well a "car" pulls up beside me, obviously in a hurry... So I laughed and gunned it just a bit, well...those sirons came on quick, from that car!!! OMG was I nuts it was an unmarked car... Lucky for me, it was not about my little zoom, but someone else, and off he went... I was in his rear view mirror and he was off into the sunset. Lucky... no... It was the force... Yoda protects me... but even he has limits...

BTW it might be safer and easier to slow down a bit... Just the other day, I was going a bit faster, and this lady decided to ignore the yield sign, and she zooms across 2 lanes right in front of me... I horned her good, but I was going a bit fast, and if I was not paying full attention, she very easy could have hit me! So... slow down not just for yourself, but for those ID10T drivers who are on the phone, ignoring the signs, etc... They can see you... My 2 cents... I know it's temping to go fast... but it's your life, and others too... Find a "safe" place where you can see all the stuff around. If you plan to go fast... like a track!

Yeah man, it was right on 27 Just prior to the Faulkner Gate road. The cop was funny about it though. Yeah Instruments is going well, boring though. How's the bag going? Wait have you flown in the bag yet? We'll have to exchange numbers and go driving sometime...plus I wanna see your car.

I JUST got back from lunch 5mins ago and got a ticket. The cop was VERY pissed about me driving the 1 and since I gave him my old car insurance card on accident he said "Oh 2003 BMW not good enough for you kid?" and I just said "bought it with my own money for 22k, which is less than a new accord"

He then continued to harass me for having no front plate (didn't get my plates yet) and that my window sticker was not displayed (fell off from heat/sun). At least I didn't get cited for speeding again...

I have a hearing thursday bc I was going exactly 31 over the speed limit (86 in a 55) here in PA... and 31MPH+ requires a hearing even if u just pay the ticket..

I am hoping they let me slide since this is the first time i ever got points on my record and I was the lowest possible MPH to require this stupid hearing...

Picked one up the monday after the ticket... I got a beltronics vector 955... it works pretty well(some false alarms but not to bad).... and it has saved me ever since on the turnpike as well as I-95...

Good luck with that, hopefully I don't have to go to court for this. Also I have to worry about my command finding out about it. That'll get me in worse trouble than the ticket/fine.

Well at least it wasn't a speeding ticket.
