Frozen Alpina blue for me please. May I have a white interior or settle for boring black?

Now, off to the casino to work some *investments* in order to afford this.

Is this end of XB7 all together or just for the current SUV platform in ALPINA trim.

2022 Alpina XB7  [8.30]
The last ones overseen by the fine folks in Buchloe. If the XB7 carries on, it will be made by BMW Alpina.

From what info we have it is not only continuing into the next generation but getting more significant differentiation upmarket as the ultra luxury version. Leaving the standard x7 to do the family hauling.
-gets its own model designation (G69) vs just being a trim package
-will be optimized without a third row (future models thread indicates bmw considering even going as far as no third row option for the alpina). Personally, I think this could mean a different rear seat config for even more legroom.

The issue for me about this BMW ALPINA buy out is where and how the ALPINA is to be built. Going down the same assembly as the X7 vs a separate facility to build the ALPINA. When ALPINA was its own animal it was segregated. If BMW can continue this segregation much like Porsche does with their Exclusive Manufaktur division of vehicles then it can demand the exclusivity and up charge but it has to have significant bespoke options.
