I think they will eventually, it depends how important the US market is for them. I believe the limited supply to the US market is slowing down the aftermarket.

I had them on my E46 330, and was never really happy with them. They never seemed to control body motion the way I hoped they would, and were significantly harsher riding than OE. The adjusters had 16 "clicks", but there was very little difference from full soft to full firm.
They aren't on my list of candidates for the 135 suspension project. |

If you're looking for a coilover option for the 1er, I highly suggest KW coilovers. Speaking from personal experience, I think KWs are the best coilovers out there for the money, from the V1, V2, and V3 there something from entry level to track monsters.

It might prove difficult to get a Tein to make you a set of coil-overs if they believe their is no market for them. Getting other owners involved in the process might prove difficult as well because their is already a huge selection available (check this). The fact KW Variant 2 is getting many rave reviews will make it hard to "sell" an unproven kit from a brand that's generally associated with JDM.

Im going to get flamed but im pretty sure you could just run e92 coils. The rates might not be perfect but if you are just having them for looks, it might not be so bad. They bolt right up if I am correct.
Anyway you dont want Tein. They are not so good to say the least. Google them, many horror stories.

Tein is one of, if not the most respected JDM suspension company in the world. I have a '96 AWD Talon, and went from Tokicos, to KYB, and now finally I have a SS Coilover kit with EDFC and it is absolutely amazing. Its all about adjustability!!!

I had a set of Tein c/o on a e36 m3 and I was very impressed with the quality and price of the kit. But I am testing out a set of Vogtland C/O on the 135i test car and wow very nice ride quality and I dont think for a street car you cant any better then this. PM me if you want details.

This is what i thought too, i read the spring rates were so close that it would hardly make any difference, however when i called mod bargains and asked them about it they didnt seem to support my thoughts on this :iono:

They didnt want to support it because it is not claimed by the manufacturer, plus it would prevent you from buying used coils. I plan to buy e92 coils when I am ready, preowned.
