Name for replacement cover under X7 hood

Hey Board— See images attached. Trying to replace the cover on the left side that has the rubber seal to prevent water from getting inside the headlight. The seal is all damaged. Does anyone know what the name of this cover part is called? Any recommendations where I could order? Also, any thoughts on how I can get that water out of there? I don’t want it to rust any of the wiring.

Appreciate you all. This board has saved me many of times from spending my kid’s college fund

That looks like a humidity issue with the headlight seal itself. I've had fogging headlights and tail lights in the past. My solution was to replace the headlight/tail light. You could take your headlight to a shop and have them reseal it, but it's never going to be as good as factory seal, and will eventually fog up. Ebay has some pre-owned headlights for $300-700, depending on the quality. Just be glad you don't have the laser lights.

That’s the headlight dust cap/sealing cover (left upper on X7 G07). Check realoem.com with your VIN for the exact OEM part#. Order from FCP Euro, ECS Tuning, or similar. For water: remove the cap, use a hairdryer on low to evaporate, or add silica packs overnight. Replace the seal ASAP to stop it returning.
