Why not CPO?

HI

Was looking for a x7 and came across this

Price a bit high, I called and ask if this was CPO, and the sales person said no. Reason given " We do not cpo cars that we think will not be driven much"?

Did not understand, Can someone help me out as why the Car is not CPO?

2. Seems bit high on the price, I am going to go take a look at it later today. I was thinking 85k tops

My guess it that they do not physically have the vehicle yet, those photos are from a dealer to dealer auction, so they probably have not laid eyes on it themselves yet.

CPO is mainly a marketing tool. If the vehicle will likely sell without being CPO'd then there is no reason for them to do it.

That was a corporate car (bottom right of the window sticker, you can access it through the carfax). I'm not sure if they can be cpo'd.

This one is a bit aged at almost three years old, so that price is very high since it is about out of the free maintenance period and only one year left on the warranty.

I got my last X7 this way, but it was 18 months old with about 3k miles. I had no issues, but I'm also a low mileage driver. If you're a normal mileage or higher mileage driver I would look into a warranty. With BMW's low rates on new, it might be more cost effective to buy new...with a new car warranty.

This one also doesn't have the Drivers Assistance option, major detractor for me personally.

This is correct, got a CPO M4 now would rather not get a CPO.

It cost time, effort, and money... My brother recently paid a dealer 3k to CPO a car for him so he could get special financing, it resulted in new tires and rear brakes too

It looks like it has DAP but priced way too high.

FYI - I got my MY21 X7 M50i with more options than this(Dynamic Handling, Luxury Seating) back in 2023 for about $74K. And it was CPO. It had more than miles though.

That’s crazy for a used x7, just order new with discount, rates are super low with bmw too.

Agreed! There are several gaps in the CPO program.

Just wanted to say that I purchased 2 warranties in the past from Trenton.
Highly recommended.
In both case, prices were reasonable, and in the 2nd one when I sold the car I got a refund on a pro-rated basis immediately.

Note: Trent has no idea that am writing this now, and am not sure he even recalls me from emails. Just an honest review for a very responsive person based on my experience.
