Performance stripes install request.

Just did the stripes, not too hard. Can't decide on where to cut the door edges, the stripes are longer than required. I tried wrapping them around, like in the pic, but they won't stick.

Does someone have a closeup of a dealer install? Thanks.

I didn't really expect to like them but I do. They make the car look longer, not so upright.

The best part is you can always take them off.

Sorry, I have taken them off. After living with them for one day I found them too boy racerish for me. Should look great on black though.

Here's one more pic before I took them off. Under most lighting conditions the grey stripe gets very dark. Too much contrast and too obvious on AW for my taste. In direct sunlight it looked great.

I see you your point.

Stripes on BMW's are a hit or miss. You want to show the aggressive nature of the car, but you don't want the "racerish" stigma.

Maybe with gunmetal wheels to balance the grey stripe it might work.
