I am confident its not FSDs as the ones from Dinan are adjustable, FSDs are not. They are most likely just yellows.

Because they are adjustable anyway. It seems like that's been Dinan's thing lately. They take aftermarket products made by other companies, put their name on it and call it their own. (Of course the have an agreement) For example: Dinan brakes--Brembo Dinan Sway bars--Eibach Dinan Springs--Eibach Dinan Shocks--Konis Dinan Intercooler--Code3 I used to think that Dinan had their own products but that's not the case.

Yeah, not surprising. My friend found out that TRD (toyota's tuner division) does the same thing. He paid about twice as much for a set of TRD shocks for his celica that were really just KYB's.
the only real benefit of having Dinan stuff is you get to keep the warranty because the are affiliated with BMW. |

Interesting. I knew the brakes were Brembo--Dinan advertises them as such--and I knew the struts were Koni--again, Dinan advertises them as Konis--but I would have guessed that Dinan makes the IC, or at least assembles it. Springs and sway bars by Eibach don't really surprise me, though Dinan is not specific about that on their website. I wouldn't expect Dinan to be winding their own springs, but I might expect them to be dictating specs.
Mike-y, Dinan is not affiliated with BMW. They do have affiliations with some BMW dealerships, but not BMW. Dinan simply matches the BMW warranty. The effect is that if something goes wrong that would normally be covered by BMW's warranty, you can be assured that either BMW or Dinan will cover it. Who ends up covering it is something Dinan and BMW work out, but you are taken care of. This is my understanding. |
