Question.....about warranty issues
So i run into some porblems with the dealership ppl
so i have been into the service for "engine shaking" problems went into the dealer for 4 times.....they changed the spark plugs and sensors ...then spark plugs then sensors again and this is the 5th time i am going in basically the problem occur when i am stop at the light so after driving for 10-15 mins normal driving or after i rip the car a bit(when the oil get to 120 the shakes is worse) ....and when i come to the stop (applying brakes ) i can feel the bottom of the car and the engine start to shakes a little bit i can feel it on the brake pedals and the leg area (driver and passager ) shakes alot.... i am not sure wtf is going on so ......bascially this is 5th times i went in for this problem they told me they cannot find the problems....and they are charging me labor hrs for checking the car but my car is under warranty so is it normal for them to charge me just to check my car under warranty and this problems has been fixed for 4 times but still there!? |

They should not charge labour for a warranty issue. Have you been able to replicate the problem with one of their techs in the car, or have they been able to replicate it?

i think its just BMW's way of saying when they know something is broken but is too lazy or ignorant to fix it
i had a similar problem with my squeaking brakes, i brought it to the dealer 3 times for same problem and they say "it's normal", my friend has a 645ci, same shit happened to him "its normal", i forked out my own money $250 to change my brake pads, sound is now gone, now that's NORMAL! all they told me to justify its normal because its "BMW brakes, its high performance, so they squeak", WTF kind of stupid idiotic reason is that???

I've felt the problem you're talking about in another car; it isn't normal. They're charging you labor because they think you're whining, they probably don't believe you have a real problem (which you probably do).
