What are you trying to gain by modding the intake on your 128? Knowing that may help people answer your question. My suggestion would be to just do a drop-in filter, either the Helene Performance or AFE . It will run about $100 and should flow more air than a 128 needs.

I checked the websites of Helene Performance and AFE Filters and they don't have filters for the 128i - just the 135i. Same deal with K&N. What gives? Aren't the NA people entitled to a few extra hp too?

I will wait for a little while becuase it takes some time for the 128. Hopefully, they will release this summer.

Hmmm... Bavarian Autosport website (http://www.bavauto.com/) says they have AFE and K&N filters that fit. Looks like there is hope afer all!

BMW Performance makes an intake for the 128i. It will run you $988 according to BMW, but you can probably find it cheaper somewhere else. But not for $100 for sure, so you might want to hold out. Looks nice tho.
