Euro E91 M-Sport w/out sport seats?
Hi,
In addition to my first post earlier, I have the following question. The more time I spend doing researching on this forum, the more I like the Le Mans Blue color. I understand I can only get that with M-Sport package. I'll probably order it with Lemon interior (I think that color combo will be hot). However, I just can't find a good comfortable sitting position on the sport seats. I get tired/back pains very easily on the sport seats on my X5. I'm wondering if I can order the M-Sport package but without the sport seats? Am I stupid to do that? Thanks a lot!! |

I had/have normal seats and sport seats in my various BMW 3 er Coupes(4, current E46 330Ci) and the sport seats were/are the most comfortable for me. My planned 335i comes with sport seats as standard. For more comfort, I'll order them with lumbar support. Maybe this is also an option for you.

maybe I was being subjective when I sit on the sport seats in a 330i in a US dealership today. I think the "side" supports were too narrow. I can tell it has great support when I corner and drive hard as I can feel clearly that it hugs around my back. To a point, I feel it's a little too tight. For long trips, I'm afraid it will create discomfort.

Hopefully you haven't eaten to many burgers in the past, since the maximum width is surely limited.

Absoulutely! All depends on your physical dimensions, and how long you spend in your car on a daily basis.
The non sport allows me to, ahem, open my legs a little wider when driving and create a little more comfort and take the pressure off (like all men do when sitting down, be honest), the side bolsters, although adjustable, are too restrictive for me on long daily drives, but I would be happy to live with that as I do like to 'drive the car', and the seats are great if you are that type of driver! To summarise, if your a big guy and spend a long time in the car, then maybe the non sport. If your a more average build and drive the BMW as its intended, then go for the sport, hooha! |

I will use the car to see clients all over the place. Maybe not on a daily basis. But I think it will be quite often that I drive at least a few hours a day when I travel. I'm 6'3" and 200lbs. I think I have a wider back.
