GY Eagle F1 Asymm or Bridgestone RE960AS PP for CSL reps?

Car is a stock e92 335i, not lowered. Wheel specs are:

19x8.5ET35 and Rear 19x9.5ET30

I'm leaning toward the goodyears as they are about $100-$150 cheaper, but the Bridgestones rate very well and will probably last a lot longer. I know they are all seasons, but I'm not looking for every last 0.01 g on the skidpad or anything. This is just for a daily driver that will see spirited driving, not for the track.

I will get a set of new Goodyear F1 Asymmetric tires; they will be mounted on new CSLs (from AluFelgen). I think these tires will be as good as PS2. It's cheaper than PS2. I think these Asymmetric tires are made in Germany.

I'll never buy ANY Bridgestones (RFT or non-RFT) for my Bimmer. No thanks.

What size Goodyears are you getting? I'm on the list for those AluFelgens as well (should have shipped out today, I believe), and I'm thinking about the F1 Asymms as well. Are you doing the standard 235/35 and 265/30? I was told in the AluFelgen thread that 245/275 would rub without rolling fenders, even with stock suspension height.

Yes, I'll go with standard tire size 235/35-19 and 265/30-19 for my sedan (with stock suspension). AluFelgen told me that I shouldn't have any rubbing issues if using 235/265.

I'm not too familar with E92 wheel size space (under the fender), but I believe that the E92 wheel space under the fenders are smaller than E90? I think you'll be safe with 235/265 tires instead of 245/275.

275 is only 10 mm wider than 265, I think. That is like...1/2 inch wider??

go for the Goodyear Asymmetric and you'll love it.i have235/35/19 and 265/30/19.you'll be impressed by the way they'll perform.smooth, quiet and solid performer.i've had put on over 10,000 miles and no complains so far.i did experience flatspotting when i was in Lake Tahoe though but it was 19 degrees that day.

I got the goodyears, running them a week now. Too cold to really push them so I dont know much yet.. I can tell they run smooth and are fairly quite though.

Asymmetrics have been getting increasingly popular with our wheel & tire packages, the DOA rate is definitely much lower than the GSD3's. Compared with the RE960AS's, they will do a little better partially because the Bridgestone is an "all season" tire which someone may or may not need.

Definitely go for the GY. I have used them for the road, wet and track. They are fantastic!

Ordered the goodyears from tirerack to go with my Alufelgens. Really can't beat the deal right now since a full set (with $50 rebate) is about $900. That's at least $200-300 cheaper than the PS2s. Thanks all.
