Where to get a tire iron?

Where can I pick up a BMW tire iron or is there something else you guys would recommend? Looking to do a spring cleaning and wash the back of my rims and put on a few layers of wax. Thanks.

tire irons suck ass.......don't do it. some of those things are so short that you won't get any leverage to break the bolts loose. also, the size of the tire irons sometimes scratch/touch the bolt holes, marring the surface.

get a 17 mm socket with a breaker bar......at pep boys/autozone/kragen

Tischer sells a BMW kit for removing the wheels. You can get a basic tire iron at most auto parts stores. I recommend you get a EZ detail brush and p21s wheel gel cleaner from detailedimage.com if you haven't done so. It cleans the inner wheel well with ease.

If you plan to get your wheels off & on frequently get a proper torque wrench. Just costs a bit more but at least you know what you're doing

you still need a proper breaker bar and socket-- you shouldnt use a torque wrench to loosen lugs

Garage List
You can purchase an inexpensive star wrench from Pep Boys for about $15 that will give you ample leverage. Wrap some electrical/duct tape around the barrel end of the wrench to reduce the chance of scratching the wheels. Definitely get a torque wrench for tightening.

get a breaker bar, long 1/2" extension and 17mm 6 point socket for nothing but breaking your lugs free.

TQ wrench is a must for putting them back on.

just dont use a tire iron, most of the time they will not fit properly in your wheels and you will end up ruining the finish.

Sorry guys, I should have clarified a bit more. I was really looking for the type of tire iron that BMW has ( I just assumed to call it a tire iron). I'll see if I can find one from a junkyard or something. I'll look into the breaker bar and torque wrench as well. Thanks guys!
