BMW center caps
I want to replace my ASA center caps (19" AR1) with BMW ones, but am having a hard time finding the right size. I have read other posts that says Tire Rack has them, but when I emailed them they said they don't have them, but says my rims opening is 60mm, any ideas or vendors I can try
Thanks for any help! |

try the dealer, I don't know if the BMW ones are the same size to fit your rims but they have a new style center cap now. The roundel is larger and no longer has that plastic border they use to have.
See this thread to see the difference between the old an new caps. http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=216391 |

I called the dealer and they said they only carry 1 size, which I believe is the same size as what is on my 17" oem wheels and that one is just a tad to big for my new rims

I thought that ASA provided BMW roundel stickers that go on top of their own caps.

+1. I think the OEM ones are 68mm, I could be wrong. You will most likely need to get the stickers. I had to pick some up from the delearship.

here, these are roundels have a sticky backing to it, so all you have to do is put them on top of the current center caps. i used 58mm concave for my winter wheels, and the tech at the dealer thought those are OEM.

your local dealer might have some, if not try ebay, or the marketplace here.

Stick-ons are your best bet. It's very hard to tell the difference unless you look at them closely.

OEM wheel center caps are a different size than center caps of aftermarket wheels. Ended up purchasing mine fro eBay ....... perfect fitment for an awesome price.

I'm having the same problem with my new wheels. I just got them today and for some weird reason, my center caps only fit the front wheels. They just wouldn't stay in the rears. I'm bummed because I got a new complete set of cf roundels to replace all of them and they just won't fit my wheels.

The sizes I've come across for BMW wheel caps are 65mm, 68mm and 70mm. Oem is 68mm, so use your oem wheel caps and if they're too big, find some 65mm and if they're too small, get some 70mm.
As for 60mm, I haven't run across that size of wheel cap, so you may be out of luck. Probably left with having to use sticker overlays. Ebay has a pretty big selection of size/color combos for bmw wheel caps. I believe M-force designs and JBSPEED also carry oem style aftermarket wheel caps.

OP, I am curious as to what your solution to the center caps was.
I am getting ready to remount my ASA's. My setup last summer was to glue the medal BMW emblem from the center caps to my ASA caps. This worked surprisingly well but I am looking for a more durable solution. |

I have a set of the old style caps (with the plastic, grey border) and the new caps with the chrome lip. If any one needs them, PM me. I can measure to make sure. |
