Order is in...Now the wait begins.

So..I purchased a 135i from Sal at Park Ave at a great deal...great guy btw.

Unfortunately, there wasn't any Lemans in the tri-state area that came close to what I want and don't want.

So I end up ordering one to spec.

Problem is it'll be a May delivery.

The wait is killing me and what makes things worst is tracking my car on Bmwusa's website is showing different car and spec. I know that's a common problem and when I get my car it'll have exactly what I ordered.

So...now what do i do? I hate waiting.

You could do that plus lick every part of the car so that everyone knows that its yours

Yes..playing Warcraft is helping a little, but it's not stopping me from tracking my car on Bmw's site every hour.

Actually, I think you could probably make that work.

They do not run a scheduled English language tour at Leipzig, but they will do so upon request (and it costs €80). However, it is well worth it because you'd almost certainly be the only one on the tour, and they will tailor the tour to whatever you want to see.

Based on the time the car spends on the line (~8 hours), and that I recall they run two shifts, I'd say schedule a tour for 12pm, and have your VIN ready for the tour guide right at the beginning of the tour.

If you are to try this, keep us updated. I'd be interested to hear the result :-)

I just got some good news!!! My SA just sent me a message on Gchat.
My 135 went into early production and I should expect the car in mid April.

Not car related? That's tough...what's helping me pass time now is research for what I can do to the car.

For sure i'll try to come to the next meet.

Problem is Bmwusa website is not very accurate. Everything is wrong, color, options, etc...

I would do that countdown, but I don't know what date to start with.

It's now worn, so...I'll need to stop by the dealer to pick up a new one.

Yes...this is called torturing yourself!
I had one of the longest waits from order to delivery...besides the guy that ordered his car in 2004 and took delivery in mid-march 2008.

I browsed this site, got addicted to xbox360 live games, took up a couple of new hobbies...and then got teased with the Euro Delivery mailers and the once in a while trip to the dealer to confirm orders, pay for the car, more test drives, and meets. I am glad thats all over with and I have my car now.

At least for you, you'll have the car on ground here in less than a month. I waited 6 mo to drive my car, then another month to get it back to the states.
