Any Pics of Installed OEM CD Changer?

Anyone mind taking some pics of their trunk with a CD Changer installed? Trying to figure out what parts I need other than the Changer itself.

Thanks,
Sam

Having mine installed at the dealer in a couple of weeks. Not sure if you are in the BMWCCA or not but if you join you will receive 10-15% discount on parts and service at any BMW dealer. Have the dealer install and you know it will be done right the 1st time plus my dealer is extending the usual 1yr
Warr. to match the 4 yr with the car as they didn't have the 2006 accessories in stock when I ordered...you can see if your dealer will do the same! That would pay for it self in the long run if something should need fixing with the CD Changer in the 4 yr period! Good luck!

Okay... looks like I have 60 days from date of purchase. How much is your dealer charging you? Can you post a pic after its done?

Thanks,
Sam

You have 60 days to get the rebate! They are usually very quick with giving you a check.

I just joined BMWCCA and wonder how this works. Do you pay whatever you negotiate with the dealer and then apply to BMWCCA for the rebate?

Do USA cars come with CD Changer preparation ?

If they do all you need is the changer and the screws that hold it

If not you need a retrofit kit with wiring for the changer

You would also probably need to go to the dealer and have the car programmed for the changer, since it gets connected to a fibre optic network

Not quite true. Some BMW dealers offer 10 to 20% parts discount and some discount service as well. Not all dealers do both or even either. Some advertise discounts in club publications then mark up prices above MSRP by more than enough to offset the so-called discounts. It is a good idea to know what MSRP is before visiting a parts counter.

Well... I managed to piece the parts together:

CD Changer
Changer Install Kit
New Trunk Trim

I scanned the Retrofit Instructions and emailed them to Jwocky to post at his discretion.
