Gary? General Exclaim UHP vs Yokohama Advan S.4

I know one is a summer and one is an all season (although the Exclaim has an M&S rating).

I was all set on the Advan, but then I remembered about the UHP, I had them a while ago on my e46 but for only about 7000 miles before I sold those wheels.

Basically I am looking for a decent handling wheel that has better wear and is comfortable.

Noise and ride are the two main concerns, this car does not get tracked or autocrossed, I have other cars for that.

While I dont need an all season I do drive it in the cold weather just not in the snow, and I can feel how bad the summers are when its 35 and raining outside, I try not to drive it in that but sometimes I just have to.

The Advan fits the bill but the UHP is just SOOO much cheaper that I am considering them

Gary or anyone else any advice?

For longer wear, quieter ride and better low temperature performance, the Advan S4 is your tire. However, the Exclaim UHP isn't *that* much worse in those areas and is still worth considering for the difference in price.

I had Advan S4 on 18s and General UHP for my 19s, the Advan seems to ride quieter.

Yea I was set on the advan but god the uhp are such a deal, and when I had them before and I did really like them a lot. They were a great tire.

I am just wondering if the advans are that much better for the price. And I am thinking they are not.
