2007 Lease Returns

Anyone know when the bulk of the 2007 leases end? I was thinking a ton of cars will be returned around June and seeing how the values on 335s have plummeted, not many people will opt to buy at the end of their leases as their residual value is way higher than the current mkt prices. I've been looking but I don't want to buy one only to see that I could have gotten one $2-5k less by waiting a few months. Thoughts anyone?

This is the big problem with Car companies today... too much money lost on lease returns... anyways I had a 2007 on a 36 months lease.. so it is supposed to go back in June of 2010. I have found another lucky guy to takeover my lease since Friday...

G/L to you but I think it will be later than this June... maybe in US people lease for less than 36 months (?) but if it's like up here in Canada, don't expect the bulk arriving before March 2010.. since people generally buy cars early spring ...

I'm pretty much in the same situation, holding off until the 07' leases end. From what I understand, people were first taking delivery of their 07s in late fall of 06, so on 36 month leases .. fall of 09 will be the absolute earliest you'll see them. There should be some great deals out there once the dealers are overstocked.

Sounds like a good plan to wait. BMW was very aggressive on the lease rates so there should be many 335s coming off lease later this year.

depends on if you want a coupe or sedan - I think the coupes were out in late July 2006, so you'll see some of those late this summer. Sedans, were out very late in 2006. Mine is due back in Feb 2010.
