ASR Intercooler

Just wanted to show some pics of our new intercooler we designed specifically for our turbo upgrade package. We made this new intercooler to meet the demands of the increased air flow volume from our larger turbos. Most other intercooler upgrades on the market for the 335i are designed for stock turbo applications, which is a good thing if you're planning on keeping the stock turbo's. In our case, none of those intercoolers offered were able to meet the CFM requirements of our package. We will give more info on our kit once tuning is completed this weekend.

I'll take it! Put me in the list. That is one huge intercooler. Looks like twice the volume? Any testing with intercooler done yet?l

It's a monster. But a beautiful one.

I just wonder how much cutting will be necessary to fit that under the hood...

Very nice!!! How much cutting and what is the price? I'm guessing it will fit the 135i also?

Wow! That is one mean FMIC. It's looks kind of like the Helix, but much much deeper. I'd like to see someone try to heat soke that thing!

I'm starting to feel inadequate with my puney code3/spearco unit.

I'm having a hard time believing that other after market ICs will not meet the CFM requirements of your turbos.
It would be nice to see what aftermarket ICs you have tested because I have a few in mind that shouldn't be a problem.

No hate, but this looks like a ripoff of the Helix FMIC that's deeper, but with half the "step" height, and smaller endtanks that will necessitate a MUCH sharper bend in the charge pipes going into it... What's more, the helix has metal pipes on the tanks to sure up the connections with the stock charge pipe.

In short, inferior helix clone that's trying to be different and incorporating inferior design elements in the process

No hate, just honesty from a potential customer.
