Extendted Maintenance now available for M

Just received an email from my dealer about it. I gave them a call and they are asking 3200 for the extension to 6 yrs 100k. After doing some slight negotiation i got them to 2995. Anyone else get any offers?

Extended Maintenance or the Extended Warranty coverage? If in fact the Warranty, was it OEM BMW coverage or some 3rd party coverage?

From what I was told by the dealership the Extended Warranty has always been available. The Extended Maintenance (which is what this thread is about) is now being offered.

I thought it was the opposite. I was offered BMW extended maintenance for $1,995 when I got my car over a year ago. I was also offered extended warranty, but others who took this said their money was refunded, as the program became "not available". I haven't checked lately, though. I not sure the maintenance is worth 3k for the 2 yrs/50k mi. At least with the E46 it covered those expensive valve adjustments. I guess if you go through a set of brakes and a clutch in that time period it would be worth it, but I think I'll self-insure.

"MSRP for the extension ranges from $1,395 to $2,995, depending on the model"

Interesting info. In any case, people should look at this coverage if they think they will reach the total number of miles (Age of the car is not as important as miles driven).

To any M3 owners who are interested, I know someone at a dealer who can sell the 2 YR/50K mile maintenance upgrade for $1,695 (THIS IS NOT THE WARRANTY UPGRADE)

Front and Rear Brakes and rotors alone on this car would run you more than that if done at the dealer.

You are buying this maintenance upgrade through a BMW dealer on the east coast and it will work at any authorized dealer in the United States.

If you are interested, pm me your name and telephone number.
