My Single Seater Thrill at Silverstone
Went to Silverstone today for a "single seater thrill", which was a Christmas gift from the miswah
We had a great day, I really enjoyed it The cars are Ford 1600 Duratec 16 valve fuel injected. They only had four gears and were limited to 6,000rpm but they were still fun! Unfortunately there wasn't much competition in my group, I pretty much minced the field! I was even told to slow down at one point which surely defeats the object of having fun Here's some piccies and a video clip, full credit to the miswah! DXB look out! lol |

Just watched your vid. They probably told you to slow down because the marshall in the bunker on the corner got bored by having to blue flag every one in front of you so you could overtake Did they handle significantly better than a road car? |

The cars handled pretty well - the steering was very sharp and the brakes were ok. Mine was very tail happy though, especially into the corners, but I think that was my fault late braking all the time!

Looks fun! I've always fancied having a go at something single seater (other than karts) but i've always worried I wouldn't fit in (pushing 6'5"), how much room was there?

The cars have different sized cockpits in addition to adjustable seats, so even at 6'5" you should still fit into one of them! We were lined up and allocated cars based on our height, as certain cars could accommodate those with a larger or taller frame. There was some tall guys in my group (over 6ft) and they seemed to enjoy it. You could always give them a call to find out more
