Quad Mode (Cyba's Diffuser & SS Tips)

Finally got this done this past weekend. No drone at all, a little more bass through out the revs, somewhat meaner at WOT, perfect for daily dippin.

**********
A couple guys have PMed me and how I set this up. I actually did the same setup as koreez88 on his car except I used a larger magnaflow muffler (larger = less noise) cuz its daily driven and my concern was drone, muffler delete was rediculously loud for my taste and I went back to stock after 2.5 days before this. Funny cuz Lipek's 325i was not loud at all with MD. If I want loud, I'll hop on the bike.
  • 335i bumper - Dremel to fit diffuser (http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=242996)
  • Cyba's FRP diffuser painted with Duplicolor Trim paint $6 @ Kragen
  • Cyba's SS Quads
  • BMW Betalink $14-18 (Part #82699408866)
  • Magnaflow 12158 $86
  • A couple C clamps + painters tape to keep the diffuser in place while betalink dries.
I used microfiber towels between the diffuser and clamp to prevent damange to paint while drying.
Replaced tubing from resonator back. You can definitely notice the magnaflow on cold start until the idle settles, its very subtle under normal driving conditions, no drone. Only one muffler hanger is used now, you can the the triangular support bracket where the tip piping comes out. The stock bmw muffler bracket and rubber have been removed and replaced by a much stiffer "bushing" style bracket that doesnt move much to keep the tips from moving around too much. The tips have been cut short and capped in the back. Piping goes into the side of the tips. Back of the muffler and tip piping are painted black so they are discrete.

Work performed at RPM Exhaust in La Mesa

+1 on looking good but dont worry about black lines, on light colored cars the oem ones are OK and not that bad IMHO.

Thanks guys. I been debating black lines...I still quite dont know if I want them on a silver car. On dark cars they look great. I need rims and a spoiler fer sure, those are in the works right now.

Couldnt tell you. Never heard the bmw performance in person, never heard a remus on E9x's in person either, only in videos. I feel that its probably quieter than the other 2.
