Got pulled over last night because of exhaust

So im driving home last night, going the speed limit, doing absolutely nothing wrong, and i see a cop turn her lights on me, so she pulls me over because she said my exhaust it altered and I can't do that. So its an eighty dollar ticket because of my exhaust, on the ticket it said "Loud Exhaust". The funny thing is when the cops were holding me there, i saw 3 rice burners with exhaust louder and more disruptive then mine. Whatever i guess thats the law and im just unlucky it happened to me, never thought it would, especially in South Florida

. I just needed to vent, if anyone sees anything funky with this encounter please tell me, other wise i think im just gonna pay the ticket.

Which exhaust do you have? Its illegal to change the cats/downpipes but the exhaust itself should be fine unless it really is LOUD.

man, thats BS. the cop just didnt like your car or something. don't pay that! it's not like we are in california and there are emissions tests...

well, he is catless, so yeah unless he is running with a stock section 3 (which he isnt) its loud.

Yea my Exhaust is fully catless, downpipes and catback, so thats a big no no i suppose. the thing that ticks me off is as catchm3 said, they are so many better things to be doing then pulling me over because my exhaust, and just to let you know 2 cop cars pulled me over for this.

I just got my exhaust system not to long ago:
Eisenman Race + AA high flow cats + AA x pipe

It's pretty loud; you can definitely hear me coming from a distance. I have yet to be pulled over due to noise. *knocks on wood*

I don't mean to hijack the thread but since you all are from S.Florida, you guys should plan on coming out to the meet on May 2, 2009 Saturday @ FAU AirStrip 12PM. Should be a big turn out.
Search Boca Raton Meet.

At any rate, good luck with the ticket. I guess I'll keep my noise low when I drive around that Pembroke Pines

yo...... take the ticket to court tell the judge your stock exhaust had gotten messed up some how (bad gas, scraped a hole in the exhaust backing into a parking spot that was to high), and you bought your current exhaust from what ever company u bought it from (show the receipt if it does not say race exhaust or anything about missing cats) not knowing how loud it would be.

they're very picky bout loud exhausts here as well.... i got pulled over for tint and my exhaust. funny thing is that i wasnt making any noise when they pulled me over. i was actually by the side of the street in my car and i guess the cop saw that i had a modified exhaust and decided to pull me over. sucks big time. they told me that my exhaust "does not conform to the regulations" whatever that means...
