Recommendations for mod shop or installers in the DC/VA/MD area?

Hello all,

I moved to NoVa last summer and I just joined this site last month. The more I look and read through this site I'm getting the itch to get some mods done. I thought I was done with mods and personalizing my car starting with this one as I get close to the hitting the big 4 0 sooner than later.
As long as I am getting things done I would like to get it done right. Do you have any recommendations to get some simple mods done like lowering, exhaust, outer trim ect? Look forward to your responses!

Greetings !
This site can be dangerous as it can give you some mighty fine ideas about what to do with your M.
I'm getting some work done on my car at
http://www.atspeedmotorsports.com/
I live right near there and so it's conveniant. In addition, they have a great facility and handle a lot of nice cars so you know you're in good hands.

As always it is usually better to buy the parts from the board sponsors and have them installed locally. One of the better shops closer to you is Road Race Technologies. They installed my Eisenmann and they are one of the more porfessional shops in the area.

Thanks for your response. Yes, definitely this shop is very close to home.
I know this is a stupid question but how do I get info on the board sponsors?
I have been searching around with not much luck. I definitely need some advice/suggestions.

Still figuring out how to navi around the site.

AtSpeed for me....very knowledgeable and very good. You can eat off of the floor and they service and race their own Porsche Cup Cars...yeah, they are good.

It all depends on what you are looking to buy. Try contacting Julius at www.wheelsto.com and tell him Don sent you there. He usually can get you most of the things you are probably going to want.

I agree again...not trying to ride Don on this but he is right as Julius has really taken care of me and the bulk of items he can get is very high and exclusive.

Wow, thanks for the information. I really appreciate it.
I took a look at the "wheels to" web site and I was practically drooling.
I really have to take a deep breath and calm down before I get too excited.
I have to take it a step at a time. I think I'm going to get some H&R springs first, although I didn't find them on the web site I hope they will get a hold of some for me. Thanks again.

Julius will help you out with those. I got mine there. Like I said if you need anything at all always ask Julius first because he has a pretty big network and he can usually find what you need.

Good luck.

Thanks DonDon. I will definitely give Julius a call and then see what RRT can do for the installation. Is this basically how you get your mods done?
I was very unsure how to get this process going but with every one's suggestions and advice I fell much more comfortable going through with the mods. Thanks again for all of the info.

I have been going to Curry's auto for the past 8 years, they did a lot of work for me on my E36 and I have always been happy with the level of service.

Go to the Fairfax one, it's the best one.

Curry is the best but a little pricey, but you know they do it correctly
