19" wheels vs. Metro Detroit roads
Any of you metro Detroit guys run 19's? Any issues / regrets? I bent a 17" OEM wheel, and am contemplating replacing all with 19's (M3 reps). Just curious any experiences on our lovely roads with such a short tire.

I am running 18's and have to tiptoe through the streets of Ann Arbor, and they are a lot better than those in Canton/Livonia!

I've got 18" with low profile tires and haven't had an issue yet. I had 19s on my TL last year and made the mistake of driving on Orchard Lake Rd. 2 of my rims got bent and I vowed never to set foot on that road again until they fix it.

I hear you... That's gotta be one of the worst roads in Metro D. I take that route everyday to go to work and I avoid Orchard lake all together. I take Middlebelt from Lone Pine down to Northwestern

I honestly think it doesn't matter if you go with 18" or 19" wheels, both are bound to get damaged in Michigan. I've had two tire replacements on my 18s and zero on my 17s. The 17s I run during the winter.

I have 19" BBS CHs. 35 and 30 profile respectively. I only run them from April to October. Haven't had a problem yet.
