Anyway I can fix this VINYL DENT?
I was cleaning my leather and it got dark so I placed my portable lamp hanging on the door. I think the metal support part of the lamp got a little too hot and made a dent on the vinyl part of my door(not sure if its called leather). I'm terrible at explaining so please take a look at the pics.
Is there any way I can fix that little "dent"? I'm so FURIOUS at myself.

two things:
1) that's not leather, it's vinyl covering 2) what's underneath the vinyl covering is semi-hard foam, once you dent it, it's not coming back out

probably not... and i would not use heat gun on this. maybe a hair dryer. MUCH less chances of melting it.

no idea but it is a big piece so I bet it is not cheap. Call your dealership or a body shop. Also try a junkyard or a wrecked M3 that someone might sell you the trim from.

yeah, looks like you may have to get the whole door panel. don't think that part if sold separately. ouch

I came up with $915 plus shipping from the Tischer catalog but don't forget he's in Canada so his dollars are much larger than ours!
There are itinerant "vinyl repair" guys who work out of vans and do a circuit of local dealers. They fix rather than replace those interior dings, stains, gouges and scratches. Between the used car lot and the dealer techs breaking stuff they can keep busy. I don't know if they can reinflate hard foam on a door panel but the stuff I've had done looked perfect after the guy was done. Ask your dealer - maybe the used car manager - who they use.

If you are handy, try to push it out from behind with the panel off. If you have a low insurance deductible, claim it as a self inflicted accident and get a new panel and the dealer can do it.

Not kidding, how do you know if you have extended leather? Do you get that with premium? I asked my SA when I picked up my car if the door panels are leather, and she didn't know. If they are not, they do a really good job of simulating. Look at a Lexus or Infiniti, vinyl is vinyl, and very obvious.

That happened to the 3rd gen TL from when the driver or passenger rests their elbows on it. It was covered under warranty.
You can go to the dealer and tell them what happened with the lamp and see what they say. Maybe they know someone that specializes in that and it'll probably cost you a lot less than replacing it.

Yeah I was gonna say, you can dismantle that door and pull the leather/vinyl covering off and fill that hole then reassemble.
