LED Angel Eyes coming on the facelift?
As you guys know, the newest spy photos of the BMW 5er have been sporting white Corona Rings. I am speculating weather it's LED or not. I have a hunch that the 3 series face lifted coupe will be getting them. Thoughts? Opinions?

The all-new 3 may get them, but doubtful for the LCI E92 I'd think. Hey, could be wrong though.

I hope the e92 doesn't disappoit. The only thing of significance that I can see in the spypic is the front facia is different. Still so creases on the hood and the headlights look the same , even with non LED turn signals. Lets hope that's not a "finished" product.

I hope they do, because the yellow just doesn't match the headlight colour, and I thought BMW would be more obsessive about these little design details than they seem to be...

Considering all the recent releases including the new 7, I doubt BMW would change such a detail starting with the 3-Series. Besides, I like the yellow rings a lot more than the LED-aftermarket bulbs and I'm sure a lot of other people do as well. Let Audi have the LED DRLs....

Well the 5 GT has been spotted with some really bright white DRL's. I think it'll trickle down into the new 3 and the 7 could get them in a year maybe?

5er GT:
But I think it's very possible. BMW seems to be going the LED route lately and I get the sense that they're seeing what the most common mods are out on the road now. e.g. the LCI has white LED's for the license plate which I would say is a fairly common mod that most people have done. Though...I think BMW will at least put a bit of yellow tinge to it. If they changed them all to white all of a sudden, it'll really make older models look even older which BMW might not want. I doubt it too. I saw the new 750i behind me today, and the yellow halos were very prominent (and disgusting). That thing is their technological flagship, so if it didn't make the 7, it's most likely not in the cards for any of their offerings.

the e39 received awesome crazy-ass angel eyes when the e38 7er didn't.

It is accepted wisdom that the concept shows quite a few of the new 5 series design elements though, just as the X6 borrows heavily from the X5. Aside from previewing the PAS, I think that this was BMW's way of showing the new 5 before it was ready to blunt the release of the new E Class somewhat.
