A 335i automatic-curb monitor inquiry

On my 335i;
Does the mirror tilt function automatic-curb monitor mirror on 335i works ONLY for the Passenger-side or does it also work on the driver's side?

If you think about it, you realize that most parking situations where you need that mirror to aim down will have the obstacles on the right side of the car... therefore only the passenger side uses that feature.

Not to mention that if both mirrors did it, some American owner would sue BMW when he ran into someone he didn't see.

On my old E46 //M3, it work on whatever side you had the mirror selection for changing controls tilted towards. WOnder if that still works in the E92?

I don't have premium and I have the tilt down function. Just like HID headlights, I think it comes standard on all 335's. I had a base loaner 328i and it didn't have the tilt down.
