theres always a way, it really depends on how picky you are with your vehicle. i have a 328 coupe and if it wasnt for the piano key trim i have on my car, i would let my dog run around in there...but if her nails were to even GRAZE the clear on the interior trim, it would get scratched to all hell.

you can always have one of those cages put in the rear of your car... thats about all i can think about.

BMW makes a rear seat dog cover. It blocks access to the front seat. It fits under the front seat head rests covers the rear seat, then attaches to the rear seat head rests. For sedans it covers the doors too.

You can alos just put old sheets across the backseat for trips, and wash the nose prints off of the rear windows after you reach your destination.

Depending on the size of the dog, even PETCO sells accessories to place your dog in the backseat for transportation.
