Is 35% Tint
enough to mitigate the blinding light which appears on my side view mirrors from the cars behind when driving at night?
NO ZPP here. The light is too bothersome at night so this is the primary reason for me considering tints. Not interested in going any darker %. For those with 35% tints: does this cut down the glare for night driving? Thanks

if youve never driven with tint and do not like glare then you'll get annoyed by the glare off the defroster lines in the back. it doesnt bother me and i just ignore it.
but yes your side view mirrors will not blind you with light anymore. even with 35% it'll probably be difficult to see out of your side views during the night so no worries about glare.

I have 35% and am very happy with it, both day and night. Any darker and you risk getting hassled by the man

In many places, including where I am, 35% is the legal limit. I have 35% all around in my Benz and I can see OK even when driving in dark rural roads with no street light.

35% tint is perfect. I had 20% before but it was too dark. It felt like I had blinders on while driving. Go for 35%

Thanks for all of the responses. Sounds like 35% is not too light, not too dark, and will work the best as a solution for glare at night in side view mirrors.

I had 32% on all my windows (they didn't have ceramic in 35, just 32, so I got 32). I had to put a sticker on the mirror to disable the auto dimming so I could still see.
I still have trouble seeing behind me when I am backing up in a dark area (my back yard), so I am going to do William Chang's rear fog light mod to use when I am backing up I've bumped the grill (gas grill) a few times. Shouldn't be too much of a problem since we're finally moving into a house with a garage. No more parking the car outside. |

i have 18% on mine & love it i'm used to dark tints though & have no problems at night, i hate people staring @ me when I'm driving & with 18% all they see is shadows lol
but 35% sounds right for you, good luck |

i have 35% on my fronts and rear passenger and then 25% on the rear window since you can basically paint you rear window black I thought i might as well go a bit darker. Although I find it kinda of hard to reverse in dark streets but whatever..
