Tyre pressures

Hi

I've just bought myself a proper tyre pressure gauge with a button to deflate so that I can keep my tyres the right pressure when I am on the track. I will have a set of track tyres so I won't use my road tyres on the track.

I understand that as I heat my tyres up I will probably need to let some air out to keep them at the correct pressure.

Does this mean that I will need to top my tyres up with air between track days? Alternatively do I set the right pressure when they are warm so that when I start from cold the pressure is a bit lower than optimal - but will be ok when they are warm?

Thanks
