E90 325i - Need MOD advice
2006 Black Sedan 325i Sports Package
Here are a list of things i want to do to my car at some point. I just bought it used so i would have some extra spending cash to beef it up. Let me know your opinions and how you think i should allocate my resources. What is most important for improvements (especially for the price). Approx a $5,000-$8,000 budget but im getting huge discounts with a family friend I am going through. Take into account i really do not know much about cars. I have always loved them but have never had enough time / money to get involved, and now that I do it is very exciting for me. Hopefully i get addicted 1) Rims (Axis Penta - Hyper Black finish with a Machine Polished Lip) + Tires What do you think the best size would be? 19.5 back 19 front? 2) Suspension + Drop What would be the best price/performance ratio? What type of suspension? How low of a drop? 3) Exhaust (Black Ceramic DINAN - says 335i only so not sure if this is possible...) What would be the best alternative here? ...since im assuming the black ceramic isn't possible 4) Intake What company? 5) High flow throttle body What company? 6) Strut Tower Brace (Dinan?) Will this help my car last longer if I drive it fairly rough? Worth the extra handling? 7) Roof and/or Rear Spoiler (lip?) examples: Hamann Rear spoiler lip (Item No.: 10 090 131) & Hamann roof spoiler (Item No.: 10 090 135)... i feel like these would be outrageously expensive. any alternatives? 8) Sports Pedal Set & New Floor Mats (mine are stained since i bought the car used) ??) Tint windows and Lightly smoke out rear lights I was originally just going to go with the DINAN S1 package and get it badged but i have read a lot about certain items being over priced and what not so i figured i would ask. I appreciate the help!! Thanks!! |

Damn, you got a lot of reading before you. Take your time, take advantage of all the work other members have done before you in selecting mods. Have fun.

Great advice right there. It's like telling a person to "get more money" when they're asking for advice on financial planning.

once you're infected with the mod bug, there's no such thing as a 'perfect car'

Its my opinion. I wasn't reading what he wrote as I wrote my opinion. Tints are a cheap and quick mod. If you're going to get rims I'd lump them with lowering the car. I would do the exhaust last because that will take you a good amount of research to see what you like, maybe see a few, and hear a few on some peoples cars.

now if this guy isnt bitter he bought a 328 over a 335 i dunno who is. because unless u step up to a brand new m3 a used 335 is his best option. plenty of performance. new body style, plenty of options. with that kinda money he might be able to get a 2003 m3 with 60-70k

dont go for dinan because it is overpriced and you can find better parts for way less.if you really want to go all out and love dinan just go for teh stage 3 package.that will basically give you everything and u might have enough in your budget for your rims.btw just get blackline taillights and if you dont know what they are look them up im pretty sure you will like them
