BMW comes through for Kilgore

So, since I came out on this forum and publically complained about the software issues with the new IDrive. BMW consumer service called me and apologized, and the dealer called me too and scheduled my car for the new version of the software. I thought everybody was very courteous, and professional, and took my annoyance with the delays quite seriously.

Anyway, problems are always going to occur with complex electronics and all you could ever ask is that the company responds in a reasonable period of time and tries to do its best to take car of the issues. I will see how well the new patch works, but I'm impressed by BMW's willingness to pay attention to one consumers complaints.

So, chalk me up as satisfied.

Mr. Trout,

Please keep us apprised. Other than the stupid shopping cart issue, what other problems were you experiencing (sorry if I'm out of the loop here)? Hopefully you'll still be satisfied once you get the new software version.

I had opened a "case" with BMW USA, and gave them my number and contact info.
