Removing caliper help

I have a Z4 3.0i, and i want to change the pads myself...

There are two screws that holds the caliper, what size is the hex key to remove those screws?? or what kind of tools i need?

Thanks! Appreciate it.

If it's the same as the M, it's a 7MM

Garage List
Stubby 7mm Allen

You'll need a stubby 7mm Allen 3/8" socket to access the top guide pin on the rear calipers. Snap-on FAMXS7E or Stahlwille 3049 work well for me.

Too long to access top rear guide pin unless you have a very thin 3/8ths inch drive ratchet wrench.
The Snap-On is 1.25 inches long and the Stahlwille is only one inch long. Either work well with a HF 3/8ths quick release ratchet: http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=40591

yah it is too long to fit.. but its possible.. just use the wrench to losen it.. then remove it only with the socket.. not with the wrench..

just put some cooper grease to the pads and sand them down after track day.. (it was making the most annoying squeak in the world), hopefully this fixes it.
