Buying a 335i--any salesmen out there?

I live in Houston, TX and am interested in buying a gently used 335i from a dealership outside of Texas...my question is how would i go at buying this car? Would i have to buy it from the dealership the car is originally from or would they ship it to a dealer closer to me and i would buy it from a dealer in Houston?

If I have to buy it from the out of state dealer, will i have to go there just to check the car out?! or will they ship it down for me to look at before i make any final decisions?

basically if anyone has had experience with something like this will you please help me with how you go around this distance problem?

Most likely you will have to pay for shipping costs ($500 - $1000) unless you can negotiate for the dealership to cover it. You can always fly out to see the car and drive it back.

theres no way they're shipping in the car for you... its a big expense so if you think its the one, take the trip out there and drive her home =]

hey buddy, here in sugar land. Bought a car from a private sale in cali, had the car shipped to me $900, after I flew out to see it. Just word of advice, make sure the savings are worth it because TTL is a B!TCH.

i guess ill just try to get the dealership to cover it but if not then i guess shipping it is the only way...but thanx alot you guys!

The dealerships I talked to were not willing to to cover the shipping "freight charge" of $700 they were quoting me. That's from DFW dealerships + Houston + Austin. G'luck with your purchase! I've decided to just order it.
