CPO Finance Rates

I just read that BMW is offering 0.9% financing on 2006 CPO vehicles, and I'm actually in need of another SUV. I just tried calling, but the FS people leave at 7pm EST. Does anyone know the payment time/length that goes with the 0.9%? Is it 36 months, or do they offer longer terms with that financing, just curious, thanks for your help!

Edit: I now noticed that the fine print said only certain lenghts qualify...so it might not be up to 60 months anymore. Better call and find out first tomorrow

The finance rates for 2006 CPO vehicles is 0.9% up to 48 months and 1.9% for 60 months. I just took advantage of it a few weeks ago when I bought out my lease.

I actually talked to my CA yesterday about this.
CPO rates are...
.9 = 36/mo
1.9= 48/mo
2.9 = 60/mo

I may just buy new. The payment new at .9% 60/mo is only about $80 more than if I went with the 48/mo CPO. 60/mo CPO was just a tad too high to want to pay another 5 yrs. on my used 35k mile 325i, 36/mo was laughable.

Hey Ian! My vert is WONDERFUL, however, I've got 35k miles on it, and I've only had it 16 months......so before I kill the car (and its value), I'd like to get a CPO X5. Plus mom is using the X3 now, because she fell in love with it (its too damn slow for my tastes, lol). Too bad the imported car store doesn't have any CPO X5s.....however they DO have a few left over (new) 2008 X5s, and I'm curious what kind of deals they could do on them?? Since we're only 4 or 5 months away from the 2010 models. If you could ask, that would be great

All 328's are still .9. E91 is 1.9 and all 335's are 2.9

They're trying to make a point off of you. The base rate for 2006 CPO models is .9% for up to 48 months and 1.9% for 60 months. I just took advantage of the 1.9% for 60 when I bought out my lease a few weeks ago and had it converted to a CPO.

When did you finalize? Maybe the percentages changed since then?

I would like to get the concrete percentages cuz now I'm talking new car with him. If he was deliberately telling me the wrong % points then I'll be calling him out on it and dealing with another CA.

It was signed on 4/30, although I haven't heard that the program changed any this month. I was originally told 2.9% for 60 months from 1 dealer, but when shopping around spoke to several others that "admitted" that the base rate was 1.9%. Knowledge is definitely power when it comes to negotiating.

Remember: These are/were for 2006 CPO vehicles. I have no idea what the base rates are for new vehicles.

I would talk to other CA's from other dealerships and see what they say.

When inquiring at other dealerships, I wouldn't suggest saying something like "Is the 60 month rate 2.9%?" as of course they will agree. Maybe more along the lines of "I'm interested in taking advantage of the 1.9% financing for 60 months (or 0.9% for 48 months). Does it expire at the end of the month?"

I'm trying to see if and CA's are online now.

My CA is supposed to call me back tomorrow about new car pricing. At that point if what you've told me is true he will be informed and dropped. My dad works with him as well who will also drop him.

or try calling BMW FS directly and see what the official word is.

if you closed on 4/30, that was a different promotion. they had 0.9% on CPO that ended on 4/30. i'm pretty sure for that one they specified on the website up to 48 months, but not 100% on that. 5/1-6/30 is a new promotion. no mention of length, just says 0.9% for CPO 2006's on BMW's website.

Good luck! It's possible that the CA's at your dealership are told to sell the rate at that level. Definitely check with other dealerships and see. If the base rates are indeed the same as when I bought mine, you should definitely call them on it.

Good suggestion. It is always possible that the program has changed a bit since last month. To me, it looked like a continuation of April's program. I would be very interested on what BMWFS says.
