Cleaing the chrome exhaust pipes...?

hey guys.... i have the chrome exhaust pipes, and frankly they have not been looking so chrome latlely. I was wondering, what can i clean the pipes with to bring back that great shine? i was in the parts department at my dealer and i aksed one of the guys there and he said he uses soft steal wool.... i really dont want to try that crazy idea unless i get some backup on that... scratching my car would be the last thing i would want to do when i was intending to clean it. thanks in advance for the advice

English Custom Polish makes the best metal polishes. Get the Hot Environment and Chrome or listed as Hot Chrome. Its made specifically so it can work in areas were it gets hot. I use it on my wheels and my exhaust. Ive tried just about everything you can get in autozone or pepboys nothing compares to this stuff.

Hell no on the steel wool, it will scratch!

You could also try Wenol. I've used for years on my exhausts and it works well.

I have found cleaning the tips with the normal car soap when washing the ar keeps them looking good for a long time

If the do get stained/ discolored or something you could use some liquid meguiars metal polish or some type of liquid or paste chrome polish
