uuc evo 3 ssk installation help

Has anyone encountered problems installing the snap ring into the groove?

I've tried for hours and it seems like with everything pushed down, the furthest the snap ring would go is just barely flush with the top of the adapter. I took out the spring and tried again with no luck. It seems like when the spring retaining cup is seated on the black plastic cup, it's way too high and is blocking the snap ring groove. Seems like something is too thick and out of tolerance.

After 4 hours of work, looks like the stock shifter is going back in.

Have you tried contacting UUC?

Pictures would help by the way.
