NJ State Inspection help!!!

Can anyone here let me know of a place that I can go to that would be lenient on tints and exhaust etc.... PLEASE PM ME... THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!

all i know are the gas stations in fort lee

inspection centers, private AND public, are REALLY strict on tints these days.

Just go to a random gas station in some sketchy town. It isnt a problem unless he says something. I Just passed my NY inspection with front tints. Even asked the guy to give me the sticker so I can tape it on, because I didn't want to screw up my tints with it.

window tint isnt part of the NYS inspection

but its illegal to have your front windows tinted so they fail your car for that reason

True that. Seriously. Go to the ghetto. Find some ass bag kid getting paid crap and slip him a $50. No reputable place will do it because they loose their inspection license if they get caught. Its not worth it for the owner.

Drive around and ask private garages man thats your best bet!!

+1. Just go walking into places and ask them if they're going to fail you because of your tint.

nope, never been failed, and thats having the cars inspected at a bunch of dealers (volvo and bmw) various gas stations, etc. even the most thorough place, one that actually took off my wheels to check the brakes and walked around the car to check all the lights.

they cant fail you for it because its not part of the inspection criteria and the inspection stations dont have tint meters.

NYS:
Windshield And Other Glass

No crack of 11 inches long or longer is allowed if any part of the crack is within the area cleared by the windshield wiper.

* Windshield - check for presence and condition
* All windows - approved safety glass or rigid plastic and condition
