WTB: OEM 17" rims wheels 161 for winter setup

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
I know it's barely June and winter is the last thing on any ones mind right now but I have a 335i sedan with sport pkg on order and need to find a set of snows. I need something to do to pass the time.

I'm hoping to find 4 style 161 wheels (Fronts). I'm open to suggestions if anyone know of other 17" oem wheels that will bolt onto this car. I'm pretty sure the style 188, 159, 158 will also bolt right on.

Does anyone know if the 157 or 185 will fit? I'd appreciate input on ideas of other rims that I can use. I prefer the OEM look but definitely open.

Anything with snows already mounted is a bonus.

There must be someone out there who put 19's to mod their ride and now have a set of 17's taking up space in the garage.

Let me know,

Thanks all....

Style 157 or 185 will be fine, as they both come from the factory on some E9x models (depending on 328/335 and ZSP). They will work fine on your car regardless though. There are a number of OEM options available to you. Make sure you order the correct tires though.

There are often 17" OEM wheels available here, but just keep checking back if you can't find ones already posted. Someone will have what you need, and you have the time to wait for exactly what you want.

i have a set of 284 with tpms and rft tires for sale. I just picked up my car this past Sunday so there are very few miles on them. I am interested in a set of 19 csls and would like to get rid of these if you are interested.
I will try to get pics once i get them cleaned but heres an idea of how they look:

Thanks for the confirm on the 157 185's.

Jopa489 - would let the rims go w/o the tires?

Sorry, I'm not selling. Was just trying to provide some information for you.

Just bought the 18" 162s in my signature for a summer setup. Saving my own 17" ones for the winter.

My bad Jopa...I meant jwh2187. Just blasted off a pm.

Thanks again for the info. 162's are great looking oem wheels. If I wasn't looking for 17's...those would be on the top 2-3 list for me. My favorite OEM 18's are the 287's.

Still looking if anyone has anything:

Tops on the list

161's
197's
189's
287's
CSL reps (18's)

Hoping to find something in the north east. Great sets in SOCAL but shipping too much.

FYI... you don't need just the fronts if the wheels are staggered. Most winter tires will be able to stretch to fit the wider rears. I have 161's for winter and fit 225's all around on them with Goodyear Ultra Grip GW3's.
(PS the tires are amazing and I recommend them highly if you can find some )

Thx Udub. I've expanded my search since I first put this out. I'm definitely up for running staggered rims. Based on what I've read - I'm also up for running 18's.

anyone has anything, preferably in the NE, please let me know.

well I'd say running 18's in the winter would be against my (and many other's ) best judgment.

if you keep it at 225/45/17 all around, you'll get the best results in the snow possible, the best selection of snow tires to choose from and a pretty good looking winter set (god i hate those 15" steelies i see all the civics on each winter).
