what do u guys think about this setup ?
I have a 09 e92 dct , jb3 , injen CAI and AR DP
i've been thinking about having a custom exhaust , by removing the secondary cats , and having a magnaflow straight thru muffler instead of the oem mufflers what do u guys think about that ? , will the loss of backpressure be a hp adder or the other way ? , this is my first FI car , so please excuse my lack of knowledge or should i just leave my secondary cats and do the muffler delete ? Thanks Alot ! Mohamed |

I had an aftermarket exhaust installed from factory dp's back. They deleted the resonator and secondary cats and put in a small muffler before each tip. Sounds good too and no drone

If you want a louder car go for it, but taking the secondary cats off of this car has shown no gains or 2-3whp... The catted midpipes don't add a significant amount of backpressure at the power the stock turbos can sustain, so if you want a better sound I would get an axleback system because having the smell of being catless and the same gains as going catless...
