Introducing Myself
Hello E90post community...
I am the proud owner of a 2007 335i so far mostly untouched, just threw my K/N air filter in the air box this week. Looking forward to making one of the meet ups on Thursdays, and will definitely be hitting up Bimmerfest in July. Any way, just saying hello! |

Welcome and congrats, beautiful ride.Just my 2 cents, before you start modding if you decide to go that route,or even if you leave it stock.First learn how to drive and handle your car first.I dont know your age or experience as far as driving, but like i said already, first get to know your car inside and outside, backwards and forward,etc.,etc. before you let it rip.Anyone can get behind the wheel of a car as long as you have a license, but experience can save life and limb to you and others on the road.If you are a young and inexperienced driver as far as spirited driving goes,i would invest as my first mod spending money on high performance driving lessons on a track with a teacher,if you can afford it.Hate to sound like a nagging daddy (LOL),but i would rather you and others be safe than sorry.Again welcome bro.

In response to all the warm wishes.. Thanks ... I love this color combination in fact I am in the business and have been looking for a 335i since about October when my dealer gave me a 335xi coupe as a loaner when I had my 02 325i in for service.
Once I stepped on the gas in that 335xi I knew that I wasn't in the same ballpark anymore, and that this car had exactly what my 325 needed... Power . As to Dan's comments, I am a middle aged guy just looking for something fun to drive. I will not be racing in any capacity, cept the occasional light to light stuff to put a mustang in it's place. Unfortunately my car is back at BMW for HPFP work. I had the Limp mode/Service Engine/Engine Malfunction combo last weekend, had it towed in, and they replaced the Low Pressure Fuel Sensor. I asked the SA why he didn't do the HPFP at the same time, and he said the codes were different. Then again just now, Limp Mode, and Christmas tree dashboard. So it's back for the pump. I had them print the service records and the pump has already been changed once on this car at around 3k in 2007. Would it be your advice to ask for a overall software upgrade/update or leave what ever it is running alone. I am not sure what version it's running at the moment. Anyhow.. Hope to meet up with you all soon. Lastly I installed the K/N air filter and my SA warned about it corrupting the intake sensors due to the oil in the filter? Confirm/Deny? Thanks Last edited by ydrive55; 06-13-2009 at 05:05 PM.. |

The K&N will not effect any sensors. If it was a MAF car (Mass air flow sensor) like on Evo,s he might have a valid statement. But our cars are MAP sensored cars, so no worrys about the K&N oil hurting our cars in any way.Just enjoy.
