Cars are BMW for a few days :(
I have a 07 335I, I had the reduce power engine malfunction light come one few times, I finally got my mods off the car and took it in today BMW today.. They did a diagnostic and told me I have a waste gate actuator faults, and they are going to replace it.
How the hell does that happen? has anyone else encountered this problem? Mods: Procede, stett performance CAI and helix IC |

Actually, there's a thread that is at the top of the "Sticky" list that you might want to start with - it's called "Has anyone contacted BMW regarding 29.2 and lag?" - it's 198 pages long so far, with 4,340 replies and 231,913 views currently. Apparently it contains some information about wastegates and actuators... I would probably suggest starting at Page 130 or so, as the first 129 pages are largely bitching at BMW to try to get them to do something... 4,340 replies and 231,913 views currently... so LOTS of information !! And given that, I am going to politely direct you to the facility that exists on this forum, which if used will give you those 1 million answers to the wastegate issue, the history of the issue, the way it has started to be resolved, and the result of said resolutions... you might even find an efficient way of dissecting all that information in the extra 68 pages of that thread I mentioned above....
