New Intake from BMW ?

Read in this months BMW Car Magazine that they have just released a new intake for the .35i engine.

I quote " More Performance from BMW - BMW has just added a new product to it's Performance range in the shape of an air intake system which is available for all six cylinder petrol engined models bar the 335i, and which increases power thanks to a modified filter insert and internal air ducting. From summer, 335i owners will also be able to get their hands on BMW's own 20hp upgrade"

Has anyeon come across this ?

Not heard anything about this, but I would be interested to hear more. I'm sceptical about 20BHP increase though as that is waht they are nquoting for the Performance upgrade and that includesd:- re-map, Additional radiator and fan for cooling.

The only way I see they could acheive a 20BHP increase would be to upgrade the intercooler AND the airbox/filter. Again we would then be looking at another £1000+ mod.

I think the intake is for the NA models and the 20 is for the performance power kit for the 35i engines

I will have to speak to my BMW dealer to see if there is any truth in this. Went for the AFE intake but not happy with the Temp increase....

I have heard that this is for NA models.

Hope there is one for the for the 35i, but I can imagine it cost £700 knowing BMW!
