Outer Door/Window Trim

Hi guys and gals.. need some help... I bought my 2008 M3 E93 from a bmw dealership a few months ago.
The donkey who owned it previous to me ordered every optional extra apart from... black window trim and electric folding mirrors...
The mirrors dont bug me so much but the chrome trim around the windows and the roof I cannot stand. Does anyone know a company or someone who can come up with a carbon option or even black without burning a huge hole in my pocket?
Also options on the folding mirrors would be a bonus.

Nice looking motor matey!! I am totally with you on the trim - i HATE chrome anything on cars!! Ive just bought another E92 M3 but this time DCT and it has the gloss black trim - its ok but i prefer the matt black trim personally and may change the trim if it starts to bug me!! I believe you can change the trim but if you buy it from BMW it will be costly. My mate has just swapped his chrome trim on his 335i with another member who has the black trim (why anyone would want chrome trim is beyond me!!) - and the folding mirrors can be retro-fitted but again i dont know cost. Did you fit the VRS front splitter or previous owner?? Had all the Vorsteiner CF bits on my last M3 - and will put some on my new one too.

I agree too - definitely swap out the chrome! I think it will be v pricey to buy it new from the dealer, and then you are left with a bunch of parts sitting in your garage.. For some reason I took against the Aluminium trim in my car & paid for carbon leather at great expense!

By the way, Steve, might be up for a swap of the trim with you. I have a Jerez Black car & matt black trim. Wonder if Shadowline might look good, although to be fair I have never seen what was wrong with the matt black trim! Does the shadowline gloss include the wing mirror inside casing? That might look a little odd..

I'm not sure whether these services are available in the UK, but a common solution here in the States is to have a body shop wrap matte black vinyl over the trim pieces. You could probably do it in glossy black vinyl if you wanted as well. I guess the only problem is finding a shop who could do it. This is going to be the cheapest solution, and it is going to look really good.

Lucky I won a huge bet on the US Open golf! lol

are you doing it yourself? Atleast on the coupe its not an easy thing to get right ver easy to damage the trim.
