DFW: Any dealers willing to sell at invoice?

Thinking about ordering a '10 coupe but not sure if any of the local dealers (Classic or BMW of Dallas) would sell near or at invoice?

I'll be honest with you. When I ordered my '09 M3 Sedan last month, I worked with 3 dealerships: Classic BMW, BMW of Dallas, and Moritz BMW.

Classic BMW was easily the dealership that worked up the highest price out of the 3. Their best price was a little over $2K above what the other 2 dealerships were offering me. Classic BMW is located literally 10 minutes away from my house, and I must admit that they have an extremely well built new dealership....But at the end, they were simply not willing to work very much with me on the price. Also, the sales rep became rude towards the end, especially when I asked if he could compete with the better offer from the other dealer. No luck at Classic for me.

Next, I tried BMW of Dallas. They were cool. They offered a much better price than Classic. At the end, I was very close to getting a deal, but they lost my business for a little over $350.00. Nevertheless, I highly reccommend BMW of Dallas. Please request Frank Atcheson. He's an amazingly courteous and positive individual.

At the end, I struck the best deal at Moritz BMW of Arlington. Their price was about $2K better than Classic, and about $350.00 better than BMW of Dallas. The problem is that they may NOT have the kindest and most professional response and service out of the 3 dealers.....But they DID give me the best price on my ordered M3.

To conclude, my goal was to get the best price, and I got it at Moritz. I negotiated on the phone with them and it worked. fyi, the BMWUSA MSRP of my M3 was $56,625 + ttl + gg tax. I ordered it for $56,000 out the door (which is a few hundred below invoice).

Thanks for the info, Classic is right by me as well. I purchased my last BMW at BMW of Dallas but it was a CPO. I guess I'll have to nego the best deal with all 3 dealers as you did.

Classic couldn't care less if I bought from them or not. No follow-up calls from them. No smile from the Salesman. And one of the very first questions as I entered the dealership was, "What do I do for a living?"

BMW of Dallas and Moritz BMW of Arlington will always have my good word of mouth.

Nawazz, are you sure your price is a few hundred under invoice?

anyway Moritz is good but I don't see them giving you a ordered car for invoice or under, I bought my M3 from them and got it for about 500 over invoice.

Autobahn is great too, they don't tend to discount as much but there people and there after the sale, is great.

pm me if you want names at either.

I ordered my 2009 E90 M3 for $56,000 Drive Out
Here's the break-down:

BMWUSA Configured MSRP= $56,625 (including destination) + ttl (6.25%) + $1,300 (gg tax) = $61,464.06

$61,464.06 - $56,000 = $5,464.06 Savings

------------------------------------------------------

Invoice for M3---------------> $50,460.00
Invoice for Metallic Paint-----> $500.00
Invoice for Anti-theft alarm--> $365.00
Destination-----------------> $825.00

Invoice total = $52,150 (including Destination) + ttl (6.25%) + $1,300 (gg tax) = $56,709.37 (Total Drive-out price at invoice)

$56,709.37 (total d.o. invoice) - $56,000 (d.o. price I paid) = $709.37 BELOW INVOICE!!

Correct me if I've mistaken please. Thanks.

hahaha....I'm at Classic BMW for a service appointment and the sales guy that I dealt with before was so pissed off at me for getting my car elsewhere. He kept saying that the other dealerships were stupid for giving me that low of a price. He said that it was not a very smart business move for them to give me $56K out the door.

I simply responded by telling him that it was a smart move for me though. And I thanked him for whatever effort he gave in trying to sell me a car.

Nawaaz, are the service costs standardised in america? (as in all dealers have to charge the same set price for each service?)

One would expect the prices to be same, but I've run into a time where one dealer was charging a different price than the other. It wasn't a BMW dealership, so I really haven't seen how the charges are at the BMW dealerships.

I wouldn't be surprised if the prices would be different.......And very expensive.

Thanks Dev!

I dealt with Robert/David this time, but I'll remember Choung/Anslem for next time.

Btw, I was at the dealership because my driver's side door was making a bad sqeaking noise. They got it fixed, but that noise is now starting to come back on the passenger's side front door...?...

Oh well. I'll have that taken care of when I do my 1200 mile service (which is about 400 miles away).

Yeah they're good people to deal with! Does it rattle when you're driving fast or is it constant?

I can only hear the sqeaking when I open and close the door. It's all normal when I'm driving.
